The Taste of Melrose Park is the biggest event in town! What can you expect from an annual taste of Melrose Park? Food offerings are $3 or less, while tickets for entering are completely free. You can enjoy live music as well as four stages of entertainment featuring a Senior Oasis, a kid’s activity program and a Salute to America fireworks display. The sfingi Italian doughnuts from the Missionary Sisters of St. Charles are very well reviewed and usually steal the show.

For example, some library events include book signings, community programs, book discussion groups, social events and seminars, and even art exhibitions. Recently the library had an exhibition of an 1937 restored Post Office Mural commemorating Melrose Park in the Great Depression Era. The Melrose Park Chamber of Commerce also plans for yearly events. In the past, they have sponsored speed networking meetings, annual golf outings, dog training demonstrations and luncheons.
